Writing a Science PhD thesis - structure and content

Summary: Discuss the structure and content of a PhD science thesis and provide examples of how to go about constructing a good thesis chapter. Discuss the structure and content of the various parts of a chapter. Offer some guidelines about how to avoid poor writing styles. Much of what will be talked about is directly relevant to writing a good research paper for publication and this will be referred to as well.
