- Operates in fluorescence, phosphorescence or bio/chemi-luminescence modes
- Xe pulse lamp source (80 Hz)
- Czerny-Turner monochromators
- Excitation and emission wavelength range of 200-900 nm (High performance R928 PMT)
- Minimum slit width of 1.5 nm
- Scan rates from 0.01-24 000 nm/min, 80 data points per second maximum measurement rate
- Cary Eclipse Bio Pack software package, operates in following modes:
- Scan Application
Excitation, emission and synchronous scans available with 3D data collection available in all scanning modes. 3D scans can be exported into Grams 3D or represented as contour plots.
- Simple Reads
Performs single wavelength intensity readings of samples
- Advanced Reads
Can be set up to take multiple readings of a sample to obtain a mean measurement
- Ratio Application
This is used to measure changes in intensity at two different wavelengths - this is useful for monitoring wavelength shifts in dyes whose wavelength maxima change when bound to ions.
- Kinetics Application
Measures changes in emission intensity as a function of time
- Lifetimes Application
Measures the phosphorescence lifetimes by measuring the average time that a molecule remains in the excited state following excitation
- Concentration Application
Used to determine the concentration of an absorbing sample by first acquiring a calibration curve of up to 30 points
- Standard cell holder and solid sample holder accessories available (pictured below)
