The Department of Chemistry and Forensic Science has a mission to produce graduates at both BSc and PhD level who can find outstanding employment in Australian industry. Our research is towards chemical technology and, in particular, the chemistry and properties of materials. Special attention is paid to forensic applications, analytical methods and chemical engineering aspects of chemical processing, such as process control and metallurgy. The Department is well-equipped with state of the art analytical facilities for both chemical and physical characterisation.
