The Faculty of Science offers a wide variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the physical, biological and health sciences:

Undergraduate courses place a strong emphasis on preparing students for professional scientific practice and, to this end, each course has a large laboratory component. Students are also encouraged to undertake one or more periods of relevant professional training in the workplace which may qualify them for the additional academic award of Diploma in Scientific Practice. Courses in the health sciences include a mandatory clinical experience component. Programs are offered at both Pass degree and Honours degree levels, except for Forensic Science which is available only at Honours level. Several double degree courses are also offered by the Faculty in cooperation with other faculties and the Institute for International Studies.

At the postgraduate level, a range of coursework and research degrees is offered. Graduate Certificate, Masters and Masters (Honours) programs are available in a number of professional fields while research studies leading to the award of Master of Science or Doctor of Philosophy can be undertaken in all areas of the Faculty.
