About environmental sciences
The School of the Environment is one of five schools within UTS: Science.
It is located on level 5 of building 4 within the UTS City Campus. Laboratories are well-equipped to support field work and to undertake meso- and molecular-scale research supporting ecology.
The School of the Environment provides teaching, research, and consulting services that unravel the interactions between plants, animals, and microorganisms in marine and terrestrial ecosystems. An understanding of these important relationships will lead to better management and a more sustainable future.
Our staff sustain undergraduate and postgraduate programs that have access to laboratories and field stations with excellent facilities and equipment.
As a foundation partner of the Sydney Institute of Marine Science (SIMS) (opens an external site), located at Chowder Bay, Sydney Harbour, UTS students have the opportunity to study in the world-class facilities there and to ‘rub shoulders’ with outstanding researchers.
