The University and UTS: Science's commitment to providing cutting-edge facilities and equipment is demonstrated in the recent investment of over $100 million to build new state-of-the-art laboratories and practical science facilities at its Broadway City Campus. By providing access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, our students and researchers gain the experience they'll need in their professional careers relevant to industry and the real-world.
Facilities Available
UTS: Science has extensive facilities dedicated to environmental sciences research and teaching, which include large green house, an entire building floor dedicated to environmental sciences and teaching laboratories.
- Large roof top greenhouses for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research
- Extensive wet and dry laboratories on level 5 of the UTS Science building
- Specialised marine and terrestrial space, including acquaria and coral rooms for ecology, botany, ecotoxicology, teaching and research
- Stroud Research Station, provides access to the forests and rivers around Stroud, situated near Newcastle, and is equipped with a 12 artificial stream system used for stream ecology and ecotoxicology research
