Fish Ecology lab

The UTS Fish ecology lab strives for excellence in research, research training and community outreach in the area of fisheries sustainability, ecology, climate change impacts, and threatened species biology.

Members are also closely associated with research undertaken within the Centre for Environmental Sustainability (cens) a key UTS Research Strength.

Coral Reef Ecology

25 years of research into the processes of settlement and population dynamics of reef fishes in 3 oceans

Climate Change related fisheries

Sustainable Seafood Program

We are part of a Science reference panel that has developed assessment criteria for sustainable Australian seafood products (opens an external site).

Deep Sea Biology

As part of the SEA SERPENT (opens an external site) deep sea program, we investigate biodiversity and ecological processes in the deep sea with an unique partnership with Industry.

Sea Dragons and Pipe Fishes
