2009 Honours Research Projects pdf version
To apply for Honours in MMB for 2009 you need to do the following:
1. Fill out a preference form for supervisor and project (download here) and submit by Friday 24th October to a box labelled “Honours Preferences MMB 2009” located at the foyer area on Level 6, Building 4.
2. You will be informed of your supervisor/project by Friday 31st October.
3. Your supervisor and you will complete an “Application for Admission to MMB Honours Program 2009” form (dowwnload here). You will only need to complete the top section labelled, “To be completed by Student”. The supervisor is responsible for filling out the rest and submitting it to the Honours Coordinator, Associate Professor Liz Harry, by November 21st.
4. Collect the UTS Direct Application form from the Building 6 Student Centre, in the Peter Johnson Building, Broadway Campus (across the Harris St footbridge from Science Building 4, turn left after crossing the bridge and you're there). Submit form to the box labelled “Honours application forms” located on Level 6, in the Thomas St wing of building 4, by November 21st. This box will be available from 17th November. Although this form is not due at the Student Centre until a much later date, MMB needs it by 21st November to process the forms, and sign them at the same time as the Faculty forms mentioned in 3. above. These forms are then sent from the Faculty to the Student Centre.
5. For international students, you must complete an International Student Admission form in Step 4. This is obtained from the UTS International Office.
6. You will be informed of the progress of your application for Honours in early December, 2008. Final approval of applications will be made when the Spring 2008 results are available (~20th December, 2008).
7. The procedure above does not constitute enrolment, just admission to the Honours course. You will need to enrol in 2009, as usual.
For any enquiries, please contact Associate Professor Liz Harry, MMB Honours Coordinator, email: liz.harry@uts.edu.au, Phone: 9514 4173.
