Who to see about ...
Informal Academic Advice
If you need advice on:
the process for changing subjects, etc, see the Student Centres (details below)
What subjects would best suit your academic goals and progress, see your Course Director or talk to an academic staff member in the area in which you are interested.
Administrative Matters
Online: many routine matters can be handled online through the One Stop Student Admin site, or you can try emailing the UTS Service Desk
In person: if you need to talk to someone about an administrative issue, the first point of call is one of the University's Student Centres. The Building 6 Student Centre (in Building 6 just over the Harris Street footbridge) has greatest familiarity with the courses offered by the Faculty of Science. The Student Centres offer a single point of service for
- Subject and course information
- Enrolment enquiries
- Study plan enquiries
- Class allocation enquiries
- Recognition of prior learning and subject substitution applications
- E-Requests
- Leave of Absence and concurrent study applications
- Exam related and academic progress applications
- Progression and academic caution matters
- Graduation list preparation
For more complex matters the Student Centre staff may refer you to the Faculty of Science.
