General entry requirements are available on the main UTS website. For courses in the mathematical sciences the assumed level of knowledge is HSC or equivalent, with mathematics, preferably Mathematics Extension 1 and English Standard recommended; UTS Insearch Foundation Studies in Science; relevant TAFE or other equivalent course.
There are also a number of alternative entry paths to courses at the University of Technology, Sydney, for students with unusual circumstances or who have suffered disadvantage.

The HSC Bonus Scheme awards bonus points to Australian high school applicants based on their performance in HSC subjects that are relevant to the course they have applied for.
