About physics and advanced materials

The School of Physics and Advanced Materials is one of five schools within UTS: Science.

The School's undergraduate courses in applied physics and nanotechnology are designed to provide students with the scientific and technical skills and understanding required to reinforce a successful lifelong career. Students are taught to be able to adapt to change and to innovate, key skills needed in the contemporary workplace.

There is a strong emphasis on teaching skills relevant to commercial settings, using modern sophisticated instrumentation and facilities.

The School also offers honours and postgraduate training as part of its internationally recognised research programs in physics, advanced materials and nanotechnology.
