The Wagga conference on solid state physics is renowned in the community as a most stimulating and informal event, at which researchers, academics and postgraduate students can mix in congenial surroundings while discussing or listening to latest cutting-edge science. The Wagga site was chosen over three decades ago because it can be cheaply accessed from Victoria, NSW and ACT, which considerably facilitates attendance. Wagga Wagga is located on the Murrumbidgee River and is readily accessible by road, air or rail (although, regrettably not by boat). Affordable and comfortable accommodation is available in the University's student residences which is only a short walk from the conference venue.

Wagga 2008, the next of this annual series will be held from Wednesday, 30 January until Friday, 1 February 2008 at the Convention Centre, Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga, NSW.  The first notice is available to download on the right side bar as a PDF document.
