Scholarships for Research Degree Students

Faculty Funded Scholarships

The Faculty of Science offers generous competitive research scholarships through its strategic research strengths in order to attract the best students to work with teams of world-class researchers.

Consideration for a Faculty funded scholarship is contingent upon applicants applying for a UTS funded scholarship (see details below).

In 2009, the Faculty is offering 20 scholarship stipends, valued at $25,000 per annum (tax free)through the Strategic Research Strengths:

The Plant Functional Biology and Climate Change Research Cluster (C3)

and

The Institute for the Biotechnology of Infectious Diseases

Stipends are for a duration of 3 years.

The Faculty also offers scholarship funding through ARC Discovery and Linkage projects.

UTS Funded Scholarships

A range of competitive scholarships - including Australian Postgraduate Awards (APA) - are awarded by UTS each year. All applications are ranked according to a Point-Score System.
