UTS: Science has a strong record in research and development, essential to facilitate quality postgraduate research programs. It wins substantial competitive research grants each year, and is the largest contributor to UTS total research revenue.

World class facilities
UTS: Science ensures that our students and researchers are supported with the latest technologies and equipment investing recently over A$110 million in state-of-the art facilities and equipment, making it one of the best in the southern hemisphere.
The new facilities have six levels of teaching and research laboratories equipped with cutting-edge scientific instruments. Specialist facilities include advanced instrumentations for forensics, proteomics, molecular biosciences, microstructural analysis, computational facilities, anatomy facilities, aquatic and green house facilities.
Competitive research scholarships
Competitive research scholarships valued between A$20,000-A$25,000 (tax-free) per-annum over a duration of three years are on offer through UTS Strategic Investment Areas, which are The Plant Functional Biology and Climate Change Cluster (C3) and the ithree institute. Quality support and learning resources
UTS Graduate School's role is to promote excellence and innovation in research education. Its main responsibilities are to ensure each UTS research student is assigned at least two expert supervisors for their research work and to assists students throughout their degree.
